Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam School celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and reverence to commemorate the birth anniversary of
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former Vice-President and second President of India, and a renowned philosopher, scholar, and eminent teacher.
The celebration began with a floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, followed by a special felicitation ceremony in which the School Management Committee honoured all the teachers and staff with tokens of love and appreciation for their dedication, commitment, and invaluable contribution to shaping the lives of students.
On this auspicious occasion, Swamiji Maharaj delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the profound importance of a Guru in every individual’s life. He emphasised that teachers play a vital role not only in imparting knowledge but also in nurturing character, values, discipline, and a sense of responsibility among students. He advised the teachers to inculcate discipline and good values in their students so that their guidance and teachings remain cherished and remembered throughout the students’ lives.
The celebration was further enriched by the cheerful participation of all the staff members, who looked elegant in their ceremonial attire. The day was filled with warmth, gratitude, joy, and a renewed appreciation for the noble profession of teaching.
